    As with all of my threads, this is being posted in hope that it will inspire an idea in someone else's head. Well, here we go.
    My idea starts with a problem. A communication problem. My idea makes it so that town assistants and mayors can easily communicate among themselves while avoiding prying eyes, and while avoiding having to constantly type the same message. How would this work? With a few simple commands. If you typed
    /tmssgboard-add Here's a message! (Or something)
    Then all other assistants would get an alert saying that a message was added to the board. Then, they could type
    /tmssgboard
    and view all of the messages on the board.
    Now, I know you're saying
    "Just make a freaking board in your town"
    But this would make it far more convenient, so if you were mining, you could decide whether to return to your town, or to keep mining.

    just use signs at the town spawn or the town forum thread
    also a mayor can set a town msg if he wants

    Maybe an alert system for the town staff would be nice!

    If the mayor/assistants need help with a problem he/she can do: /t alert [message] (for example).
    Only the town staff can see this and respond with going to where it is.

    I think a town should make an own staff room where they can talk without everyone reading it. Spots only available for staff and such.. but an alert system would be nice imo.

    Hi all,

    Ive read what you guys have said and it has reminded me of 'Officer Chat' in WoW guilds. It would be nice to have a town staff chat channel, if it were possible, to help town staff discuss issues, topics etc that they want kept private or at least discreet. Message boards are a good idea but are slow and cumbersome, as well as you have to 'physically' be where they are.

    I think the easiest plugin they could make is to expand imdeity's mail plugin in combination with VanZeben his Kingdoms plugin to be able to mail to only assistants of a town. That way, you can for example do a "/t mailassistants(ma) Some text you want to send them". Then you can read the latest messages trough the portal or ingame as the mail is already implemented. Basically just a filter. A filter for town members is already in place so this would be easy to make.
