    Hey

I am starting to get worried my town losing dei and I spoke to the co mayor (Maxwell) of the town and we both worked out and agree resident tax is higher then the town tax were paying but were still losing dei.
My town taxes 25 dei a day and we got 33 residents so that 825 dei and we 68 plots so 250 dei + (68x2) which is 386 so as you can see we should be making 439 dei a day but every day when I look at the town dei it goes down please help what going on? Is resident tax getting collected?

    Kind Regards
    Gawkan

I never seen nobody ever claim plots in my town only me tends to claim them and sort them out and what you mean by tax just for the town the 250 dei + 2 dei every plot u get? If so I worked that and it lower then resident tax.

I just guess there is a bug with taxes from the residents. Everything else looks fine. I think we should wait for a mod to see this.

I have been wondering about the daily town tax too. Why is it so high? So many towns are going bankrupt over this heavy tax burden.
I myself, have to supplement significant amounts of my own money to keep a balance in my town bank.
I'm hoping that this is indeed a glitch or that imdeity will lower the town tax rate before more and more towns go out of business.
One of the best things about this server is the comraderie and fellowship that is fostered in the towns/kingdoms.
My town is awesome only because of the awesome residents that reside there. I know the other towns feel the same way. Hopefully this tax issue will be resolved soon!

Thanks for sharing the same problem from your town aswell I thought I was on my own but I guess I am not and if it is tax issue like the town not collecting resident taxes, I hope it gets sorted out soon.

as much as this is a problem no towns should be going bankrupt, thanks to the lord taxes, even if the resident tax should keep town from losing dei its still extremly easy to earn dei

I agree it easy to earn dei with noble salary but resident taxes should also be bringing in dei and I feel it is not bringing in dei which is still an issue

200 dei + 2x plots is not high at all for a town tax. It costs 50k to start a town to begin with. You can probably figure out a way to come up with a few hundred per day to run a town if you came up with 50k in the first place. The tax is to keep towns active and from having the map full of towns that people stopped joining or the mayors stopped playing. If taxes were too low, this would rarely happen.

There are over 50 towns on the map, there are not "many towns" going bankrupt as you say. The list of towns behind on their taxes is pretty small. And most of those are inactive towns.

I do believe there is an issue with resident tax not being collected at the moment. I am not one of the developers, so I don't know what is going on for sure. But towns on the old map had no required resident tax, and the tax rate for towns was exactly the same as it is now. And 90+ towns survived there easily.

Ok thanks smcallah for replying and I understand you don't know what going on with taxes and I can get dei for the town taxes but on the kingdom prices it says tax is ... and a month or so ago it was working since I got mail saying one of the residents been kicked by not been able to pay taxes, I would prefer it back to make it easeir to pay the taxes but I have wait and see with a developer (imdeity or vanzeben) if they do come look at this :)

Just wondering, how long does it take to delete a town that doesn't pay the taxes? Some of those towns on the inactive list have been there for weeks...
