    While building a new spawn for my town ,I got an idea of renting a apartments or levels .I will love to hear your ideas

    Here is what it could look like

    In the first town i joined i built a large hotel where i made individual rooms that people could rent. The walls ceiling and floor were 2 blocks thick so people could completely customise there room without changing the outside appearance. We made it so people didn't join the town straight up but rather rented the room first for a week to see if we liked them :) then they would later buy normal plots :) this idea worked pretty well but unfortunately the town was deleted shortly after :p

    yes, i support. i think that the rent should be much lower, for you wouldent have outdoor apperance, but it would supply you with a house. it would follow the same rules with polts and ect.

    I do enjoy living in something I didn't build. Brilliant. But the problematic thing is getting the money sure you can vote. But it could be useless if the rent is to high.

    I think the biggest issue here is going to be getting tenants. A lot of towns offer first plot free, so there's less incentive to live on someone elses terms. The apartments/condos, if played incorrectly, may simply turn out to be intricate decor for the town. Though, intricate decor is always welcomed, right?

    Speaking of boots...

    This might be a little difficult to implement, since plots typically stretch to all 256 blocks in vertical directions. However, assuming van or Deity wants to spend the time coding this in, it has my vote. Maybe as a little area one could rent out for a few days while one tries to find a town, for example.

    Just in case you didn't know, towns provide chest protection and anti-grief protection. Also, fire can't be used on the server (except by Admins).

    Except for workload of the mods and workers (sorry!) I think this idea would be pretty flippin' sweet. It would increase revenue for towns and their economy while also allowing for a friend or drifter to bunk down temporarily when they don't have a town.

    i think the rent should be just a little above a fraction of how many rooms there are and what the owners rent is or if its mayor or assistant maybe just a fraction of what it usually is

    and how bmxstar said it would be good to give them a whole room to customize but make it to where they only have power to a room instead of the whole plot.

    i like the idea. im sure it would be a large order to add on the already full plate of the admins, but if it ever came about, that would be cool. the rent, just like town taxes and such, would be controlled by the owner of the area and shouldnt be required to be a certain amount. that is how competition thrives, benefiting the consumers.
