Those are amazing. I'll be sure to keep checking in to see what else you come up with! Can't wait to see the Temple of Time!

Very interesting builds, I decided to make some reviews. You can correct me if I'm wrong, those number represent my opinion and they might be inaccurate.

    The Petronas Towers
    Design: ** (simple, large, symmetric)
    Effort: *** (5 hours)
    Wealth: ** (about 3k)
    Overall: 7*

The building looks great, it's a nice addition to Wraught's Dedowntown. The design is pretty simple though, just 2 plain towers. It is large and look realistic on the live map. The one thing I didn't like is that its completely build with stone, it dosen't have any real windows. Not having mc would definitively demend some effort. I will modify my review once the interior will be done.

    Taipei 101
    Design: *** (Complex sections)
    Effort: *** (5 hours)
    Wealth: *** (about 5k)
    Overall: 9*

This tower is nicely built, looks realistic. The design is more complex, mostly the link between the building's sections. It's nice that it has some windows, but I feel that more glass should have been used. The cyan wool gives it a nice final touch. Again, it was a challenge to build in this height; but since the interior is not done, it did not require large amounts of time.

(More reviews will be added to this thread)

Thank you very much for your review Stewiepro,

I fully agree with your judgement. The Petronas towers was my first big build and I went for simple materials (stone). When it was done, i realised that it was very dark inside and that there should have been some windows in there. But without the help of a magic carpet, I couldn't find the courage to mess with the design of the exterrior. I will look into it when I will work out the floorplans and interrior.

For Taipei 101, I wanted the design to be more complex and to add some color. Knowing that it would be a large build, I opted to use the colored wool as an accent on the edges rather then making all the tower out of it. That would have taken to long to gather. For the windows on Taipei 101, I tried out different patterns on my single player and found that some patterns, especialy vertical stripes, can create the appearance of holes or slits in the building (due to the lack of an interrior). This is why i used horizontal bands with breaks in them. This lets in enough light to be pleasant and doesnt make the building look structurally flawed from the outside. I have started rambling, so I'll stop now :).

Anyway very nice review and I appreciate it that you're taking the time to write it up.

Woah, all of your builds are amazing, this is a relief to see a decent submission, if it was my choice you'd be getting the promotion plus money

Dang! You seem to love towers and similar structures.
What kind of build planning do you use? I know you have set ratios and pictures to look at, but what do you usually do after that? I'm hoping to be a great Minecraft builder myself, and I am looking for someone to help me on my way to a building career. :)

I finally managed to get the time to do the remaining reviews.

    The Lighthouse of Alexandria

    Design: *** (Moderately complex)
    Effort: **** (9 hours)
    Wealth: *** (~5.6k dei)
    Overall: 10*

It is a nice recreation and looks realistic. Each part of the structure is fairly simple, but putting them together is becoming more difficult. The roof is nicely done, though I think it looks a little taller on the illustration of the real one. I also liked how the torches are organized inside of the tower. While the ship is not related to the wonder itself, it adds a nice touch.

    Temple of Time

    Design: *** (Moderately complex)
Effort: *** (6 hours, not counting terraforming)
    Wealth: *** (~4k)
    Overall: 9*

At first, the building looks quite simple from the outside. However, after taking a look inside I noticed the detail and architecture. It is very structured and symmetric: the windows, the floor and the tower. Since you did not provide a list of materials, I made a rough estimation. Placing that water outside must have cost a lot.

Note: I reviewed my rating scales and made a standard way to analyze all of the buildings on the server. This is why I am no longer taking magic carpet and terraforming into consideration; because this building would have the same value when built in other circumstances. For example, if another player made the same Temple of Time on flat land, with magic carpet, and on a survival server, he would receive review as you.

    Great builds there!

Once I saw the Petronas Tower while wandering through the Live Map and I walked some miles from Altinum until I reach them. They worth it! ^^

Liked to know they were built without magic carpet, that demands some technique and prove that great build doesn't need such 'helpers' to be doe.

What I found a bit disappointing is that it is almost fully made out of stone, it make them look dead somehow, more types of blocks would help ;)

I'm not the best assistant...I haven't looked at any of these...too busy trolling. Yesterday, I saw them. Rejoice! Something untrollable!

I think the effort and wealth gone into both are amazing but it needs work on the minor details.

Been away for a while and will still be inactive for atleast a week, thanks for all the great reactions.
Special thanks to stewiepro for another constructive review, again much appreciated, still hoping to see some mods reply to my constructions...
When I get back online I will finish the interrior of my humble abode: The Novacastle, and include it in the thread.

Exteriors are very well made and you helped all town of Wraught to have more landmarks. The only thing i dont like is location of Taipei101 and Petronas Towers. They should be placed somewhere around spawn along with other modern buildings there, to form downtown district.

... Barry, Downtown is where those buildings are located. Spawn is Central Main Wraught, the heart and hub of the city. Aaaand now back to your non-city based commentary on Nova's awesome buildings!! XD

Duh.. thats the result of being so busy with my town and other work, that i dont have time to be given town tours. I wish there would be more buildings around, matching these two. And i expect there will be (awe)some soon :)

Once again I have postponed the final detailing of the Novacastle and am working on another project atm.

I have created a faction in our town: the Wraught Corps of Engineers. This faction needs a home so that is why I am currently working on a 3x4 plot area to build a military compound for the Corps. When this is finished it will most likely find it's way to this thread as well. For now, keep checking for updates and I'll have some cool new builds soon.

I award you with my "No Life Ribbon" , for making these very nice, yet somewhat stoney buildings.

In scales from 1 to 10 in averages of all your builds:

    Architecture: 9
    Material use: 7
    Size: 10

Very impressive, but keep working on using different materials :), Im a fan of wooden planks myself, but I try not to use them all the time, if possible.
