        Those particles mean that your overall Mc quality is normal/high; if you try to put all settings on the fastest option, it would help! Also use Optifine as Lupus told, it's a really helpful mod that I use too, it adds a lot of customisation and adds fps! It also tells of which option which is the fastest one to make your computer run better!

        Also, control if your graphics card and Java are both updated to the latest version, and that your sistem bit is the same of Java, for example: 64 bit system->64 bit Java
        I used to have 32 bit Java on a 64 bit system, and it freezed literally every 20 minutes.
        If your Mc crashes you may try also to add more RAM to Java to ruun it.
