Personally, I think that if you have been a member/assistant/seniorassistant for long enough in the Caldera family that you will be considered one forever. If Simon decides to demote a member or demo his plots, that is his decision for the good of the town. Upon returning to Caldera, the person's items and staff titles would be returned to them in most cases. As far as people not getting on often enough, most of us are busy with school/job/life and can't get on as often. This is one of the reasons I think it is good that we have so many Senior Assistants and Assistants. If we had only a few and they were all busy then there wouldn't be any staff to help out in town.

Sharpy all of the assistants that I have, have showed maturity, responsabillityness, and have helped grow caldera into the wonderful town it is today. As ether said we have so many assistants because most of the assistants have other things to worry about, School, jobs. Therefore I do not always demote assistants because they have been inactive, and most of the time if they can't get on they tell us in our assistant convo.

This is probably something meant for a convo and not a public forum post.

If you want to go through and delete your own messages to clean them out, then you can do so yourself.

I see that there hasn't been activity in here for quite a while. I myself have been away from Minecraft for a very long time due to work, trying to get my drivers license and making lifestyle changes. It was so long that they have since changed to a new minecraft launcher and it took them a month or so to transfer my account over after it was bugged on my end. I am wondering though if anyone still plays? I've been less busy of late and imdeity might be a place I want to come back to if anyone is still here.

I've been keeping an eye on things but it's been quite slow. Occasionally one of us drops by and tries to erase the town debt but that's become pretty unmanageable!

I'd noticed the debt. It looks like more of a competition to see who has the least debt for over half of the towns. Other than a debt reset I doubt anyone will be able to pay the whole of those debts that are in the 100s of thousands, but . I may get on Today or Monday to check in on stuff and make some edits to my fort. Nice to see that some members still hang around; gives me hope.

I calculated if I mined the max amount every day and voted for inactive residents I could keep on top of it, but I would find doing that tedious with so few residents around. A couple of us have wiped out the debt a couple times but of course it keeps coming back :(

Is the debt calculated as (daily tax)(amt of residents)=debt or (daily tax)(amt of residents)(amount of plots)=debt? If it goes by amt of residents, are there any residents who joined but never built anything? I generally am an advocate for leaving people in towns, considering how much work I put into my plots, but if someone never built in the town do they really matter or are they just pointless deadweight?

I believe the tax the town pays is 200+ (plot count x2). Maybe a little higher. That's why I used to unclaim unnessecary plots, though it opens up griefing. The tax we recieve is something like 20per citizen (if they have it) -assistants, who don't pay tax. Our active residents usually became assistants which is why I've always argued for a max cap on them, lol. But then a lot of our assistants put their extra dei into the town bank anyways.
On a side note, the last time I logged in the town had a new mayor I've never met. Hello if you're out there.

I'd totally get on PC and seriously contribute to the debt if I thought it'd make a permanent difference. I'm more wondering if I can still buy plots from the town if the town is in debt cause I need a project if I'm going to be more active. Weren't plots like 2k per or something like that?

Yeah. I can still sell plots. At this point, I'm willing to give you a couple so you have a project to work at. No one's really here to mind, lol. Let me know if/ when you'd like to log on and we can try to arrange something.

I'm looking to build a romanesque palace similar in size to, if not slightly larger than Kenek's mansion next to the town spawn and the Old PvP Arena on the outskirts of town. I'd like to build it in front of my Fortress-Tower and try to incorporate the two (might need to pretty up the Tower though). Have you seen the Fishbourne Roman Palace? I was thinking eventually it would look like that, with the Fortress-Tower in the middle, but I'd start with just one side of it (8 plots) and eventually surround the Tower in a 4x4 plot square with my already claimed 2x2 plot Tower in the middle. I generally like to build very big (I once built a scale model of Chambord Castle on another server) I hope this is ok. I can get on at around 3 Eastern if that suites you.

Let me know what times you are good for tomorrow. I went ahead and Donated for Gold so I can fly and have some Dei to purchase some cosmetically appealing blocks for the build.
