Rank 1
This one took really long. Rank 1 covers an area of 2600x1800 blocks, which is the largest of all ranks. Compared to the Main World, Capital City is about 700x700 blocks e.g. about 10 times smaller, and the whole capital area is 3000x3000 blocks, e.g. about 2 times larger. There is a lot of ubiquitous "wall with four towers" layouts, and rather few good plots, but thats okay, skilled builders quickly pass to higher ranks.


Rank 2
The area shrinks significantly, Rank 2 covers an area of about 1200x1200 blocks and is much easier to maintain. Sad fact is that many people have their rank 1 builds better than rank 2 builds, as they increase the size but they forget to increase the amout of details.


Rank 3
The area of about 1100x1100 blocks may seem similar to Rank 2 but it feels smaller because of fewer plots. Also, not many people made it this far so you dont have to explore the whole area.


Rank 4
Slightly bigger area of 1300x1300 blocks but most important, plots are HUGE. Sad fact is, there is not many finished ones.


Rank 5
Roughly the same 1300x1300 blocks area as on Rank 4 but no finished plot, it really gets tedious on this size. Remember that nine Rank 5 plots together are equal to the size of the Capital City.

I always look at great buildings or world wonders. Then I have to learn the skills to make them, lol. Downloading mega builds and flying around them teaches a lot.

 

well, silly me - I thought my rank 5 plot was done - I guess that is wrong. I had it submitted once but removed that because they don't have rank 6 plots. Barry - do you remember when I did clear plot on my rank 5 and it crashed the server and left a huge void in my plot? lmao - easiest digging I ever did.

 

I do remember, Halli, it was because the block count was over 1 million Taco patched it soon after so it didnt crash the server anymore, and Btarb's plugin does it flawlessly too. Based on experience with passing from rank 4 to rank 5, my guess is that rank 6 plots would be opened if there would be more finished/approved ones on rank 5, but i have no official info.

 

This looks like fun. I shouldn't have built the decommissioned state penitentiary on my single player game. Time to get creative!
