    You make it sound like getting someone else's skin is hard? It's not. Also, as soon as you would change your skin back to your normal one the head would change also. So it would still only he your player head, not anyone else's, no matter what skin you changed to when you crafted it.

    Guess yours glitched then. The way the heads work, is there is 'Owner' data assigned to the item/block, which corresponds to the name of the player that creates it. That block/item then gets its skin from the same place that the player gets their skin, so it will match whether the player changes their skin or not.

    If yours didn't do that, then I dunno what to tell you. You can go ahead and change to someone else's skin and make a head, but that head will always be assigned to your player name and be Your player head.

    Some people actually take pride in what they collect and like to know what they have are legitimate items and blocks.

    Also, I'm sure you noticed that this is is an Auction post in the trade section which is for buying and selling of items, not discussing how you think you can create 'fake' player heads.

    It's a silent auction, insofar as you cannot see whose bid is what amount. You can see who has bid and how much has been bid, but it's up to specific people to say how much they bid specifically, if they so wish.

    Also, even if you change your skin, and somehow the head stayed that skin (which it won't anyway) the item would be named, "SharpyArcher's Head." So everyone would know it's not anyone else's head.

    You can easily tell when an item is named on an anvil and one that is original. Items named on anvils have the name in italics.
