After all the sever suggest threads popping up, I thought its time to create this one using ideas that I have had for awhile

So, the PvP server is dying due to lack of players. Raids are few and far between for the most part and pvp is almost nonexistent on most normal days. As a pvp world veteran, I have a few ideas on how we can help bring more people to PvP.

1: SMALLER WORLD: The pvp world is massive at the time of writing, it has a radius of 8000 blocks. Do we really need that much space for 40 factions? In my opinion, no we don’t. We really don’t need that much space, I think a radius of 3000 or 4000 blocks would be a good amount. It’s enough space to make a base pretty well hidden, but also small enough so you can find it without walking & boating for hours.

2: Selling slimeballs: What is one of the funniest ways to trap/kill people and make better bases? Sticky Pistons. I see tons of possibility's for traps using sticky pistons, such as entering a hallway and the ground is pulled back into the wall and you fall into lava. Or having a secret door to your storage room using sticky pistons. (By Selling Slimeballs,I mean selling them at the spawn shop)

3: NO OCEANS: Hey… What cover’s a good chunk of the PvP world and is incredibly annoying to cross? Its oceans. And with my first suggestion, if oceans are kept in if the first one is done for the next map… Most of the world would be oceans, and that’s not fun for anyone.

4: No/limited TNT: This is the suggestion that is going to get me yelled at the most. So, what would having no TNT in the pvp world do, and how would it make pvp “Better”? Well, no TNT would make bases easier to find (Most of the time) due to lack of “If I log off and our base is on the surface, it will get blown up”. It would also make PvP more unique, which could attract new players. “But if there’s no TNT, how would people raid bases?” To answer that, go look at what PvP stands for: Player Versus Player. Instead of, when everyone logs off you go on a TNT cannon rampage to raid, you would have to fight the factions players to lower their power so you could claim their base. This is what it was like when the PvP world started up, and it kept a large player base. But when the world grew, TNT was added, the amount of regular pvp players died down to, what it is now, a handful.

That is all I have now, thank you for reading. I would love to hear what you have to say about my ideas or saying ideas of your own.

DISCLAIMER: These are all my opinions that I have stated in this post. My opinions are not yours, so you will think differently about these suggestions.

And, I used search and I didn’t find any other threads than this one, so if someone else basically stated this in an old thread I am not aware of, I’m sorry.

No, I meant putting a limit on how much TNT you can use each day if No TNT was too much.

not a big pvp player, but those are some valid points Tall.

I would like to add ; resets at certain intervals. Always 1 or 2 factions get powered up and ultimately it remains that way forever. The beginning is the funnest - when we all have the same nothing and the race to get powered is on. That is the time when factions flourish, new people joining, gathering items, building bases and traps, (good times)
If we could have a regular interval of resets in pvp, then near the end of a current interval all active players would be on a massive hunt before the reset, to get powered up and be on top of the leaderboard before reset. Leaderboard for factions to be displayed on imdeity website after each reset. Rewards for a top faction or top 3 to be determined.

How frequently to do resets?, once a month or every 2 months, trial and error would result in a satisfactory time line.

I really hope I am not way off on this idea - just trying to be helpful. thanks for reading.

Maybe we could actually use another mod pack for the PvP server. Something that allows for somewhat bigger warfare... There is actually a mod pack i can think of that would fit the PvP server very well. Its called Voltz, has many types of devices to change warfare strategy, and i think would interest players with some of its complex machinery to work with. Of course, the ICBM could be stripped of uber weapons like antimatter and red matter missiles and bombs, but it would make for an interesting faction warfare style. It actually is part of the Technic Launcher mod packs, but i still think many players would be excited by all the wondrous powers and weaponry, along with defensive countermeasures that come in this mod pack.

Yeah, but Voltz has higher tech, more ways to earn resources, and actual battle suits
