Is PvP more than people fighting?

    In my opinion, PvP is more than just combat. During the PvP events, you see great bonding between players, while on the PvP server, people just don't show proper respect. It doesn't matter if people's feelings are not hurt by how you treat them after brutally murdering them even though they are new. You can at least compliment them for being a good fighter after they have some decent equipment. Just because your an all powerful player decked out with full diamond equipment and have it all enchanted doesn't mean you should stick around spawn with a murdering spree, or hiding in a tree with a insta kill bow on the way to the armor shop doesn't mean you should go insane with blood lust. You should actually be decent and like in the PvP event, treat players nicely even after beating them. I think all players can use a boost of camaraderie :)

    There's an occasional jerk and a lot of noobs that pick fights with the wrong pvpers but its fun to make alliances,join factions, and explore the pvp world.

    Hi all,

    I think the main differences between PVP Events and PVP World is mentality.

    In PVP Events, your team is randomly chosen, which means your friend today could be your enemy tomorrow. Probably shouldn't be a jerk to someone who might be on their team at a future point. It's treated like a sport so that the environment for 'camaraderie' is already there.

    In the PVP World, you're pretty much on your own so it's more 'hostile' and dog-eat-dog. Yes, there are Alliances and Truces, but loyalties change quite often, back and forth from what I've seen. Spend enough time on there and you start to gain an insight into people's personalities. I have learnt that you should pretty much trust no-one, and even those you do trust, at a respectable distance unless one hundred percent certain.

    However, I completely agree with Bcrass's sentiment that players should be treated with respect, even enemies. Badmouthing and chest-beating seemingly are becoming more common, possibly because it isn't actively frowned upon by players. I also prefer to 'punish' those whom I think have transgressed my personal code of acceptable PVP behaviour. There is such a thing as honour, your word is worth its weight in gold and trust is at a premium in the PVP World.

    As a PVPer, I tend to be more sporting than most, as I have nothing to really gain from 'pwning' anyone, especially not newbies. I spend my time building and gathering materials. The main focus in PVP will always be Player Versus Player, *fighting, but that is facilitated by forming friendships, fostering faction diplomacy, base building, gathering, and general exploring.

    Just so u all know, this server treats each other like gods compared to almost all other pvp servers. So appreciate what we have here

    Pvp is player vs player. Expect combat and violence. The point of factions though are friends who come together to make a fort or something like that(But then like a week later it's gonna get raided. xD)You can either gear up with friends or just live in a 50block deep hole. I hate it when players complain about me killing them when their just trying to make a house. For those type of people there's this Magical world called "Creative".I haven't been on PvP in awhile because i'm on Main world with friends but I still get a big "Welcome Back" from friends and allies when i get on pvp occasionally and we get to kill or build together and have a good time. But Pvp events and the Pvp world are two different things altogether.
