    Hello!

    I have noticed in my short time at imdeity that you get a lot of notifications about voting, updates, and how some commands do not work in this world. Me, being the butt-head I am, refuses to vote for servers that spam me every ten minutes in game *le guesstimation*. I know that there are a few others like myself, that would be very willing donate to stop such messages from appearing in their chat. I believe that adding this to an existing donator/sponsor rank or even just making a new, cheaper rank would be extremely helpful. If the donators feel the need to see these messages (you all are excellent coders I'm sure) can quickly make a code to toggle these broadcasts.

    Example:
    /broadcast on/off

    This could make it through, but I'm not sure if there are "few others", enough that don't want the messages. I actually like them :3. Keeps me company. Makes me feel like there's someone actually there... *forever alone*

    As you can see it isn't just the voting messages. ^-^ There are many other messages I would like to block out such as the events and all of the other messages I get whilst mining. This is merely a simple solution to my problem and perhaps many others. It is just a suggestion forum after all. In addition to the message informing me I'm in local chat. I can see how this one is useful, but after being here for two months.. It gets old :3

    This would actually work for everyone, we just put the command in the wiki and only the people that are experienced enough to know that the wiki has answers will find out about it;).

    I got really mad at chat some 3 months ago - http://imdeity.com/threads/in-game-chat-is-messy.10258/ - improvements have been done since that time, we dont see player death messages anymore and there were some color tweaks too. So i hope some kind of [announcements] channel for event signups or lottery will be set in future and i will be able to switch it off.

    I think things like lottery notifications should be modified so I only get the notification once every 4 times people buy a ticket. One person buys a ticket, then a chain reaction occurs where 10 people end up buying tickets. I do like an occasional ticket notification tho. Or else I would always forget to get my tickets.

    I honestly think that these messages should be leave-able by everyone. tough it doesn't bother me, just helps me ;). (Excluding the lottery)

    I think I pointed out on another thread that it should be possible for the lottery messages to do what the Spleef messages now do: group themselves together into a message such as

    [Lottery] insertnamehere and x other people just bought (aggregate total of) tickets!

    ...Just a thought.
