Mods you can use on Imdeity (Server itself remains unmodded!)

This is a thread I decided to make so people can see (and know) what great mods that are out there you can use on Imdeity. Most people know that "anything that gives an unfair advantage" is not allowed, but they don't know what great mods are allowed.

VR-ChatMod
This mod lets you customize several things about your chat. Firstly, the chat screen will not close when you say a message. Secondly, you can change the scroll speed and chat memory length. The best thing about this mod is that you can set a number of keywords in the config file to be highlighted when said, along with a "ping" to get your attention. The config file is found in the .minecraft folder and there is an example on the forum thread of how to use it.

Cloaks and more accessories
This amazing mod allows you to wear cloaks (capes), ears, bracelets, tails and hats. The only downside is that the site you use to upload the awesome accessories (http://montypylon.us) is very slow and can sometimes freeze. If this happens then close the tab and try again. Known compatibility issue with Optifine sadly.

Water shader (alpha)
This is a great water shader that is still being developed, but it already looks great. Its one of my favorite mods. Warning, this will make your computer lag unless its pretty good. So install Optifine if you want a little help with stopping the lag.

Minecraft macro/keybind mod
This is a mod that lets you bind messages to certain keys. It's great to recruit with, since you can simply type your message out once, then press two keys to say the message.

Rei's mini map
You'll probably already know about this one, but I'll put it in anyway. This mod gives you coordinates, a handy mini map in the corner of your screen and a compass. Its probably been used by players since the Imdeity beta server was created.

Inv tweaks
A life saver for those of you who can't stand cluttered chests, it lets you organize them with the push of a button! It works for your inventory too, even /chest.

Its on my list, for giving a well needed FPS boost to so many players. It makes worlds load faster and enhances Minecraft with a load of handy features.

Whats my light level?
This simple mod displays the light level of the block you're currently standing on in the corner of your screen. Great for farms, mob grinders etc.

Skin thief
Ever wanted to be able to use ImDeity's skin? Well now you can! With the skin thief mod. It allows you to pick a user, and steal their skin. This is a mod used by stalkers everywhere .

Magic launcher:
This is an easy to use mod installer. Nice if you're not very enthusiastic about opening up and editing lots of zip files. It also has an option for how much ram you want to use, this makes your minecraft go "vrooooom vrooom".

Mods NOT allowed.
Just a small addition, you are not allowed to use the following mods on ImDeity:

• X-ray.
• Fly.
• Kill Aura.
• Anything labeled as a "hack" or "exploit".
• Anything that gives you an unfair advantage.

Do not ask if you can use The Control Pack. It has been asked several times and gives an unfair advantage.

Tis indeed, since we already have a live map.

 

With optifine you can change certain settings ( animations, clouds, etc) and change texture packs from ingame, the shaders mods also use optifine.

 

The problem with things like this, is that the amount of allowed mods is too high. We prefer to say yes/no to questions, seeing the amount of questions like that are practicly 3 a year.

I have been looking for key binding software and this is amazing!

I have the up key bound to /asc and likewise for the down key. 'C' is bound to /chest and it makes playing so much easier

You named Custom Capes twice, you must really like it

One warning for key-bind macro mod....
Its not allowed to spam with it.
It is very easy to get auto banned by the anti spam if you make a advanced multiple command macro with it.
Use it with great care...

Also one note on rei's minimap. As the creator (ReiFNSK) stated on his post, you are not allowed to install customizations with it. A player scanner or dungeon finder is not allowed. If you install customizations of rei's minimap, its not allowed on ImDeity and you could be punished for it. So only use the normal one. I already warned a few ppl using a customization in deitygames to find the other ppl.

Thats why I linked to his post, so people can see. Also, its pretty hard to get banned with the macro mod, because of the way it works.
Also, I was changing the order and forgot to delete one of the custom cape ones .

 

Not if you use a $$m macro... I had one of my alts banned once from making a mistake in a macro. With a pipe "|" thing it waits a sec between commands, but with a macro file, its easy to get banned.

But keep up the good work. I like these posts as it suggests new mods i possibly never heard of. I will try to post a list of the mods i use soon 2...
